Doggy Days Out (22nd May) - Wey and Arun Canal Walk

We decided to head to an area we hadn't explored before  and found this walk on the Fancy Free Walks website. The start point was in Loxwood in West Sussex at the Onslow Arms Pub which was directly on the banks of the Wey and Arun Canal which is looked after by the Wey and Arun Canal Trust
Here is the link to the walk  -  Loxwood Pub walk

We had a spot of lunch seated in the pub garden overlooking the canal before heading off along the towpath.

                  Approaching Baldwins Knob Lock!(Great Name)

The walk follows the towpath for some time until you reach a lane where the route takes you back round through some woodland and eventually back to your start point passing an old watermill along the route. The canal part of the walk was lovely and peaceful and the bluebells were still flowering on our way back. It was one of the nicest walks we had done for quite some time.
